Eagle Monte Carmelo is our take on a classic profile from a classic region: the Cerrado Mineiro.
This lot was soured from Ivone Corsi Da Silva's 17ha farm Fazenda Irmaos Corsi as part of our Café Delas Program. Café Delas was created to help women farmers access the resources, knowledge and voice they need to grow their operations to the fullest potential. Every Cafe Delas coffee is sourced 100% from women farmers and for every sale, a portion of the profit is reinvested in programs that promote gender equality and empower women in the field.
"My family has a tradition in coffee production.
Around 20 years ago, the properties were divided among me and my brothers. My sister, from the farm next door, is always among the finalists in contests in the region. This year I had the pleasure of producing specialty coffee. We use varieties that provide us quality, like Mundo Novo. The coffee drying is done on a cement drying patio and the coffee is revolved several times during the day.
Today my daughter and son-in-law are directly involved in the farm's activities, thus continuing our family succession"
